Google Domains has finally been released

After more than seven years, Google Domains, the company’s registration service, is no longer in beta, Google revealed Tuesday. The program is currently available in 26 countries, with “millions of active registrants,” according to the business.

You can choose from more than 300 different domain endings if you register with Google, and you’ll have access to “high performance DNS” (Google claims it’s the same infrastructure it uses for itself), “round-the-clock customer service from actual people,” and more. With the code DOMAINS20, the business is also providing a 20% discount on “any single domain registration or transfer-in to Google Domains” for new and returning users.

If you utilize Google Domains to register a domain, you’ll still need to create a website to use it with. Wix, Shopify, Squarespace, Weebly, and Bluehost are among Google’s “premium partners,” which include Wix, Shopify, Squarespace, Weebly, and Bluehost.

Google Domains has been under development for quite some time; it was originally released as an invite-only beta in June 2014, and then as a public beta in January 2015 in the United States. Even Gmail didn’t stay in beta for long.
